摘要:This article tells about reading, the reader’s position before the text and
the educative work of content transmission. In the classic hermeneutic view, reading is a
process involving dialog, comprehension, integration and identity formation. Based on
this idea and among others, suggestions from Marcel Proust and Paul Celan, this article
argues that the reader’s experience is properly of exclusion in relation to the book. His
position is the one of a remainder from the reading, converted into witness and, at the
same time, a vehicle for transmission: not for the book content, its interpretation, or not
only, but as a witness of the presence of the book to be read. This way, the reader’s
identity arises from his reading and comprehension experience, but his subjectivity is
formed out of the book, in the process of transmission to the others and therefore text
memorization.
