摘要：In the Nilotic and Ubangian languages expressions for cardinal directions have been
created on the basis of a wide range of conceptual sources: primarily cosmological,
geographical and atmospheric concepts. But also names of neighbouring ethnic
groups and even historical events are used as such. Borrowing of naming systems,
however, do not occur.
