摘要：This text we will debate different approaches to the
films made by the british filmmaker Peter Greenaway,
comparing what the director says about his work
with the studies of Lev Manovich (1999) through
his comparison of Greenaway’s films as expressions
of databases of images and cultural references and
the writings of Maciel (2006), identifying
encyclopaedic traces in the filmmaker’s opus.
