摘要:This article travels through the mind of Leonard
Shelby, the main character in the movie Amnesia
(2000). This adventure has been carried out with the
help of ideas about narratives, transactional self and
culture, as proposed by Jerome Bruner (1997a, 1997b,
2001). The aim is, at the end of this trip, to be able to
reflect on amnesias that we have experienced in
contemporaneity from our look on Leonard. The first
amnesia is the one of fragmentation, which is pointed
out as one of the causes of emptiness of meanings,
being just one more hindrance in this process. The
second amnesia is that through representations we
are directly accessing the outer world, forgetting the
whole process implied in the construction of a
representation.
