摘要：The article is based on a paradox: even
though immigration has been the necessary
condition for consolidating the personality
and strength of Catalonia as a country, there
is a tendency to make it invisible, to perceive
it as a threat to the national identity.
The solution to this paradox, according to
the author, lies in reversing the situation
and turning immigration into a place for
the collective memory, considering it as
part of the nation and, in short, an origin.
