摘要：The Decree of the Nova Planta (1716), articulated
in Catalonia a new corregimient
with capital in Vic, which consisted of the
former juridical districts (vegueries) of Vic
and Camprodon . Our objective, in this
article, was to study the sociological and
professional profile of the eighteen alcaldes
majors or lieutenants of corregidor of Vic,
until the end of the Old Regime. Their main
responsibilities were giving counsel in civil
and criminal justice to the corregidors and
military governors, and to preside over the
ajuntament during theirs absences.
