  • 摘要:Which type of grammar must be taught? To answer this question, it seems to me that first we have to define the right public. The content of a grammar is determined by its theorical base, the public targeted and by its aim. A grammar should represent the description of a language, and this description has to underline the communicational function. A grammar must define clearly its concepts and its analytic principles, depending on its theorical base. In this study, I will explain the way I teach grammar and the type of grammar chosen for the students of French philology, at the Istanbul University.
