摘要：Final report to the Austrian forest damage monitoring system (WBS): Composition of meta data and
critical analysis.] The Forest Damage Monitoring System (WBS) was one of the most extensive projects of the former Federal Forest Research Centre (FBVA); nowadays Federal Research and Training Centre for Forests, Natural Hazards and Landscape (BFW). The joint project was initiated in 1987 and after a running time of 15 years, it was terminated in 2001. The WBS, as follow-on project of the forest condition inventory, should acquire the forest condition, its changes and factors of influence at longer term, in order to recognize causes of forest damage and to derive remedial actions. During the 15 years of project time of the WBS constantly results were published by the project collaborators. This report cannot offer the information capacity of more than 150 publications. It is however, a recapitulatory overview of the accomplished work, as well as to document the applied methods, raised parameters and the range of the available information and to enable conclusions from 15 years forest condition monitoring.
