摘要：This is a short compilation of the current basic knowledge about air pollutants, their phytotoxic action and the ways of detoxification. The general part (Part A) describes basic characteristics of air pollutants, stress and other important terms, the uptake and points of action at the concerning levels. Furthermore, some methods of detection of pollutant impact are described. The chapter “Immissionsschutz” (protection against air pollutants) gives a hint to legal and silvicultural measures. The special part (Part B) comprises the most important air pollutants, their action in plants and ways of detoxification. Some aspects of Climate Change are included too. The Appendix gives additional information about air pollutants, limit values, links and literature.
