摘要：Birecik Dam Lake was studied. At the end of the study, a total of 39 species were determined;
21 of them belong to Rotifera, 11 belong to Cladocera and 7 belong to Copepoda. Altough
rotifers were found in all depths, they were more abundant at surface layer. While species of
cladocera were mainly found in mid water column, copepoda species were distributed in deep
water. In addition, some water quality parameters (pH, EC, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia,
potassium, calcium, magnesium, carbonate, bicarbonate, sulphate, organic matter, O¨C
phosphate, dissolved oxygen, hardness, temperature) were analised and all parameters were
found in normal range.
