摘要：Ecoliteracy: a tool in environmental education Carlos Montoya y Ricardo O.Russo This article aims at analyzing the great impact ecoliteracy, a useful tool for environmental education, has had on environmental degradation. Ecoliteracy has been implemented in elementary schools located in Guácimo in the province of Limón by using watershed management approaches. We provide conclusions about the importance of assessing the existing efforts when protecting natural resources, the existing water and plant resources, in order to achieve successfully and cost effectively actual ecological restoration.
