  • 摘要:This article analyses the conceptions of essay, specifically, journalistic essay, in order to present some reflections about its pedagogical implications in the career of Social Communication. The documental research presented evidences some reasons that makes it difficult for students to infer the characteristics that the essays requested by the professors in the university classroom must include, and why differences exist in the representation of this text between teachers. As a contribution to solve the pedagogical problem stated, the authors propose the realization of an institutional publication, after the characterization and the establishment of the basic approaches to the elaboration and the evaluation of the journalistic essay on the part of the teachers.
