摘要：The Japanese cartoon series Oja-maho Doremi contains a great amount of oral material which can be used in the classroom when considering the difficulties which arise in translation as a result of the differences between the masculine - feminine language of Japanese speakers. The article describes these differences, considers how they should be dealt with in translation and also suggests teaching activities that can be used in the classroom when translating from Japanese.
