an emerging technology that provides
an easy way to take all of these passwords
and combine them into a single
set of credentials that you can use on
any OpenID-enabled Web site. OpenID
is not a specific kind of authentication,
but a framework that allows Web developers
to program their sites to pass
on the job of authentication to an external
trusted OpenID provider who then
passes back the authenticated user for
authorization.
