摘要:This article presents Greek mercenarism (misthotik¨¦) as a feature element
of the Hellenistic military tradition which emerged after the Peloponnesian War.
It was expressed in strategically integrated armies and was widespread both in the
kingdoms under Alexander the Great and in the reform of the Carthagenese army as a
tactics school that links the mercenary Greek troops of the late fifth century B.C. to
Pyrrhus and Xantippus in the third century B.C.
