摘要：One of the commitments espoused by the European
Union¡¯s active employment policies is the promotion of social integration
through the employment of people that find it more difficult to join
the workforce automatically in such demanding and competitive times.
The case of people occupying social housing on the Left Bank (of the
River Ebro) rented from Zaragoza City Council highlights the difficulties
faced by such groups in terms of social integration. Come what may,
these people will require the continuity in time of programmes such as
EMPL¨¦ATE (a job placement scheme), backed up by far-reaching
changes in the Spanish job market.
