摘要:The present article analyses the case of Attac (Association
for the Taxation of Financial Transactions for the Aid of Citizens)
as an example of a social organisation that, on the basis of participatory
principles, can run the risk of having an excessive hierarchical and
bureaucratic structure in the management of a political pressure group,
conceived as being the most direct means of having its claims met.
First of all, the organisation is presented, along with its evolution from
the moment it was founded until the end of the nineties. Attac is then
situated within its contextual framework and with respect to political
opportunity, and the frameworks for collective interpretation are examined.
In conclusion, an attempt will be made to verify this tendency by
examining three basic aspects of the organisation: how its organisational
structure works, its channels of protest and the global impact of
Attac thanks to the role played by elite organisations.
