摘要:This study includes 1265 lullabies we have already organized and prepared to be published as a book. After the arrangement and categorization studies we have seen that lullabies are those through which Turkish has been used in the most beautiful way. Through them, the mother tongue, Turkish can be taught to children of 0-6 in the utmost easy and effective way. In short, lullabies are defined as ‘the effective verses which that are presented in a melodious way by the mothers or close people of the children in order to make them fall into sleep.’ Moreover, when analysed in detail, it seems that lullabies have further in function than just helping the babies and children with falling into sleep, they are also told to contribute to their education by teaching them the bases of their own language and culture. After a general review of the text of lullabies it can easily be told that Turk starts training his child when the child is in the cuddle. Using a plain language, choosing the frequent words are related to teaching the mother tongue issue. It is also seen that the main rules, concepts and expressions of Turkish take their place in lullabies. It is worth mentioning ‘the main rules of pre-school education’ which have recently been focused on greatly by the educationists for the children of 0 – 6 have already taken their place in the lullabies to a much greater extend than these educationist aim to penetrate to the child. It is understood that lullabies present and teach the basic needs of Turkish society to a certain degree when the future individual of this society is a baby in the cuddle yet. When the texts are analysed, it seems that none of the elements related to Turkish community life, and social and spiritual world of a Turk have been excluded in these lullabies. Rhetoric, main needs, tools used in daily life, names of organs, kinship words, number system, colours, main food and nutriment, meals, names related to place being lived in, harmful material and food, clothes, accessories, close environment, domestic and wild animals, expressions and idioms associated to the professionals, plant names, geographical expressions, words and expressions related to earth and planet, time concept and calendar, animals and insects that can fly or not fly, mines, morals and concepts related to the social life, main concepts and expressions of Turkish community life, traditional Turkish cultural life, expressions and concepts of trade life, words and expressions for musical instruments, main rules and expressions of religion.Training, main rules of healthy life and nutrition, opposites and synonyms, gender training can all taught to children of 0 – 6 through these lullabies. Beyond all, when lullabies are analysed, the great extend that the details in mother tongue teaching go in these can easily be seen. Language of lullabies is quite plain, pure fluent and simple. It is understood that the first part of the traditional mother tongue teaching is the lullabies. It seems that, Turkish language teaching is realised to great extend since all aspects of life are being described through these texts.Lullabies are forced to be the secondary at prime except one or two study and have been ignored till now as this is the case for all the fields in Turkish culture. However, acceptance of ‘Turkish lullabies’ among ‘ Main Works’ by National Education Ministry is the most important development for the sake of lullabies.
