摘要:Starting from the philosophy of memory by T. W. Adorno, this article states the thesis that
literature is a better form than history or philosophy of giving an account of totalitarianism
and keeping the memory of his victimes, because its capacity of focusing on the individual.
With this purpose, it analyses as an example the literature by the czech writer Milan
Kundera, and discusses his works The Book of Laughter and Forgetting, The Unbearable
Lightness of Being and also his non-fiction book The Art of Novel.
