Filariasis is a major public health problem in tropical countries, including India. However, inspite of this high incidence it is unusual to find microfilaria in fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC). Patients may be symptomatic and present with fever and lymph node enlargement or at times it may be seen in background of some other disease state. We present one such case of microfilaria of Wuchereria bancrofti detected on fine needle aspirate of a lymph node.
