SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE UNDERGROUND WATER BETWEEN THE JIU
AND THE COSUSTEA (THE PIEDMONT OF MOTRU)
摘要：The paper analyses the specific features of the underground water within the Piedmont of Motru, more
exactly, of the aquifers after the following structure:
- geographical and hydro-geological location (within the low and mean high terraces and delluvial-prolluvial deposits);
- the aquifers located within the lignite layers;
- variable piezometric level;
- values of the aquifers transmissivity (according to the thickness of the sand layers);
- specific features of the reservoir rock;
- hydro-chemical characteristics of phreatic water and rivers.
Knowing the physical and chemical features of the phreatic and rivers from the Piedmont of Motru is important for
the water supply of the settlements (economic units, local irrigations), as well as for the study of the exploitation
conditions of the coal from the region.
