摘要：In Oltenia, precipitation deficit is registered quite frequently, especially in the south plain area, and
it is possible in each season. The annual precipitation quantities highly vary from one year to another due to
different causes related especially to the characteristics of the global planetary circulation, as well as to the
features of the subjacent active surface. There can be also mentioned other factors, such as soil water reserve,
air humidity and temperature, wind speed, evapotranspiration etc. It can be noticed a general descending
tendency of the annual precipitation quantities during the last two decades, tendency underlined by both the
fact that it was registered the absolute minimum quantity of the period and the highest number of deficit
periods.
