what they call “The enemies to WAC.” Among those many enemies—reluctant or resistant
faculty; skeptical, parsimonious administrators; untenured WAC consultants; etc.
(some of these enemies have mellowed since the fifteen-plus years the book was published)—
is the enemy upon which I wish to focus: objective, multiple-choice testing.
