摘要：Research into effective teaching and schools began to influence the educational policies of the last conservative government. New Labour has embraced the trend with great enthusiasm. This tradition’s conceptions of education, educational research and social science are not shared by the educational research community as a whole. Indeed many of its key ideas have been severely criticised. (See for instance, Slee, Weiner and Tomlinson 1998 or Galton et al 1999.)
