摘要:This study aims to describe a practice of pedagogical supervision of young children educators on their initial training, recognizing interaction between adults and children as a central element in learning. We used the Laevers concept of “engagement” and the Adult Engagement Scale (Pascal and Bertram, 1999) to observe/measure/evaluate the educative interaction between adults and children. The potentialities and difficulties of using this instrument in pedagogical supervision were analyzed. It was considered that this strategy of supervision, having as starting point the Adult Engagement Scale, contributed positively to the a process of professional learning (trainees and educators) and also for a qualitative development of the institution.
