摘要:In this article we will analize the aspects that prevent the student teachers from a Biological Sciences Degree to adopt a new understanding about the scientific knowledge production process as well as a possible approach to the relation between Science/Technology/Society/Environment in their teacher-training classes in Science and Biology. Through the content analyses of the students’ ideas and conceptions, recorded by the researchers, and the self-evaluation texts produced by the student teachers during their supervised teacher-training practice, we have identified a resistance in understanding the specific knowledge in a perspective that would include social, cultural, political and economical aspects. We concluded that this is due to their training and global awareness created during their schooling, in particular during their university schooling, which as influenced their pre-conceptions regarding science as well as their teaching-learning process, specifically in biology.
