摘要：The paper herein aims at approaching one essential aspect with a wide scope in the Romanian banking system. The
analysis of both aspects is done from the point of view of their progress, namely retrospectively on one hand, and from
that of the potential systemic and macroeconomic risks they can cause, on the other. Over the last 5-7 years, the
structure of the Romanian banking system has witnessed major changes in its dimension, namely decrease, or, over
the most recent years, numerical stability against volume increase.
