摘要：In Romania we see the existence of an subsistence agriculture, the agricultural view being dominated
by a large number of small size firms, familiarly, that exploits small parts of land, without obtaining a
significant production. More than that, a part of result of agricultural activity of these firms is for selfconsumption.
Farmers often contest low level of subsidiaries ¨C that they need in conditions of
confronting high production costs against the prices they manage to sell their products. They want
commercial protection against competences from outside the country. The paper tries to identify
needed measures and adjustments in agricultural sector, in the perspective of Romania¡¯s adhesion to
European Union.
