摘要：This paper examines the ranges of physical resources which may be required to operate a business, plant and
equipment, furniture, office machines and computers, stock, delivery vehicles, etc., and the way these are
purchased from suppliers and financed, the timing of their acquisition, and the control systems used to monitor
them. It also relates to contracts of supply with public utilities which may be different from those encountered in
a domestic situation. This will enable the reader to identify the range of physical resources which are likely to
be relevant to his or her business in the early stages, to quantify these, and to estimate their costs, to identify
potential suppliers, and the timing for acquisition. The resulting data will provide much of the information
required to compile the budgetary forecast and cash flow forecasts for the first year of operation of the new
business.
