摘要：This note is devoted to spectral theory and asymptotic behavior of one-dimensional hyperbolic
systems. We give in particular a practical way to compute the essential type of the associated
semigroup. As is by now well-known, the sign of the essential type gives the asymptotic behavior
of the semigroup up to a finite-dimensional space of initial data.
