摘要：The nowadays-European Union has 25 member states and 460 million citizens. This paper
seeks to analyze the impact of European Union enlargement on accession countries and current EU as a whole. I
tried to put in evidence that, all in all the impact on current EU members is negligible, whereas accession
countries will face huge, and not always beneficial consequences.
