摘要：This paper analyses examples of composition, prefix- and suffix-derivation and reduplicationas adjective formation methods that intensify the meaning of adjectives in the German language.Regarding adjective meaning intensification in the German language, research literature statesthat composition and prefix-derivation are the most used methods of adjective formation.Amongst the variations of "verb + adjective" and "adjective + adjective" especially the form"noun + adjective" occurs in the composition. In the intensification of the meaning of adjectivesregarding prefix-derivation, German prefixes as well as loan prefixes combined with Germanadjectives are to be found.
