摘要:Since early 1980’s, tourism activities caused significant changes in landuse alongapproximately 9.7 km-long-coastline and adjacent coastal zone near Güneyli Village and itsenvirons in the northwest part of Gelibolu Peninsula. This change that resulted from rapidconstructing in an extensive area to the west of Gelibolu-Istanbul highway was determined byassessment of aerial photographs, topographical maps and satellite images on GeographicalInformation System (GIS). The data obtained reveal that secondary houses expanded in an areaof 2.2km2 over the past 30 years. However, agricultural and forest lands faced to decrease of 10% in area associated with increase in amount of secondary houses.
