摘要：This article aims to evaluate a subsidised housing program in Spain, analysing
its benefits and costs, the effects on participants’ consumption patterns and
the results of replacing it with an equivalent unrestricted cash grant. For this
purpose, we estimate direct utility functions which lead to expenditure
equations and the benefit or equivalent value to the recipient. The source of
data is the Household Budget Survey conducted by the Spanish National Institute
of Statistics.
