摘要：Self-government meet with similar questions as other economic subjects in planning and implementing their budget expenses. What is needed most? What brings the biggest profit? What is it necessary to implement at the moment and what later? Unlike the consumer and private sectors, i,e. those who dispose with private financial resources, the representatives of municipalities make decisions on public financial resources and are responsible for their usefulness and economic efficiency to municipality inhabitants. At the same time it lays big demands on their professionality in judging economic cost and benefits of using municipality property. One of the possibilities of improving the efficiency of property management is doing the analysis of property and resources of settlement of municipality property through the "ex post" analysis. This analysis is retrospectively oriented and is to clarify which factors and why they share in creating the present property value and the resources of settlement of municipality property. The purpose of this analysis is to capture the objective factors influencing the future development of property and resources of settlement of municipality property. The work describes the "ex post" analysis of the property structure and the resources of settlements of municipality property in Slovakia in a period covering 2002-2005.
