摘要：South Africa¡¯s real gross domestic product expanded at an annualised rate of 4 per cent
in the first half of 2006. This was approximately the same as the growth rate recorded in
the second half of 2005. The sustained increase in real gross domestic product can mainly
be attributed to growth in the real value added by the secondary and tertiary sectors of the
economy which comfortably offset a decline in the real value added by the primary sector.
