摘要：The task of Information Technology Department is to secure the preparation and implementation
of information technology strategy, the functioning and development of Statistics
Estonia’s information systems. Besides that, the department deals with the maintenance of
databases in terms of IT, maintenance of standard software, maintenance and development
of special software, instruction of users, organisation of trainings and information security.
Apart from electronic data collection (eSTAT for enterprises, laptops for interviewers and use
of administrative databases), the Information Technology Department focused on electronic
dissemination, on the development of the data processing and analysing software and
customer management system, as well as on information security.
