摘要：The accounts for the year ended 31 December 2005
were approved by the General Council at its meeting
of 10 April 2006. They showed a net profi t of
EUR 522 million, confi rming the positive trend of the
previous year. This improvement refl ects an increase
in monetary income resulting from strong growth in
banknote circulation within the Eurosystem and a
better return on foreign exchange assets, against a
background of tight control over operating costs.
