摘要：General. On the basis of the provision for the Treaty of Accession of Cyprus to European Union,
and the relevant Regulations, the amounts which will be allocated to Cyprus out of the Structural
Funds and the Cohesion Fund, were specified for the planning period 2004-2006.
Additionally, funds were allocated to Cyprus, within the framework of the Pre accession Aid and
Transitional Facility, which were disposed to the new country members. According to the relevant
Regulations, the absorption of the above sources by Cyprus, depends on the prompt
implementation of the programmes/projects which were agreed and the submission of applications
of certified payments to the European Union, within the specified time limits.
