摘要:Decentralization and the government¡¯s Digital Agenda were priority targets for reform in 2005. For
Chile, the modernization of the state includes the policy goals of greater decentralization, and the
wider use of technology. The Chilean government has progressively increased investment in
decentralized decision-making. The 2006 budget was raised by 6 percent in real terms and
assigned to regional decision-making organizations. Consequently, the Investment for Regional
Decision-Making will reach an historic high, having jumped from 44.4 percent of total investment in
2000, to 57 percent in 2006.
