The approach followed in the design of Learning Objects (LOs) used in the TIGER ( T elepresence I nstant G roupware for higher E ducation in R obotics) environment is outlined. By devising a suitable typology for LOs, the proposal aims to render them a tool apt to model the pedagogical intentions of a teacher who acts as initiator of constructive learning processes.
