摘要:We notice that, more and more, the presence of power relations in diversified segments is in the society. It becomes necessary to understand these power relations because without such understanding it will be very difficult to make effective changes in the power games within the society. The identification and comprehension of the process in which the power conquest takes over the bodies in the school environment, constitutes an important concern in the education and in Phisycal Education. With this perspective, which is the source of a masters research, made from a case study in a elementary school, located in the borough “Nations” in the city of Timbó (SC) introduces the school and its social function giving major emphasis to the power relations that happens there. It justifies the body context related to the school power, placing it in a critical perspective in respect to its uses and meanings in the current society conjuncture versus the market ideological values. Based on this perspective, it’s necessary to have a relation between the prevailing power and the body discipline through the school so that it, through such a practice, submits itself to what the prevailing system expectes from it.
