摘要:This lecture was given in Language Institute of UFRS by professor Emmanuel Carneiro Leão presenting the question of post-modernity as an extension of tecnologic advances, scientific discoveries and ideologies of our time. One of these post-modern phenomena ís the net-society that replaces gradually, and with advantage, the reality as a whole. Big cities are concrete examples because they contains the net operating in such way that out of cities lays only the urbanization of countryside or the desertification of fields. In net-society everything belongs to the world of technique, including man as its client, not as a partner. So, development occurs toward proposed goals and not aiming objectives, neither ethical commitments; in a making process and not toward desired values. The result of this process is the transformation of homo sapiens in homo microeletronicus involving all its consequences.
