摘要：Social protection in Latin America
and the Caribbean has reached a
historical turning point, requiring a
change of focus in response to the new
global order and its repercussions for our
societies. Universalizing and improving
social protection is a challenge that has
become the subject of academic and
policy debates, filling headlines and
disturbing the conscience of people
throughout Latin America and the
Caribbean. Many men and women are
haunted by uncertainty about their future
in terms of work, health, social security
and family incomes.
