摘要:Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was 3.3% higher in the first quarter of 2001 than in the same period
of 2000, while the seasonally adjusted index was 0.5% higher than in the preceding quarter.
Gross fixed capital formation continued to increase as in previous quarters although the rest of domestic
demand, that is consumption and stock growth slowed.
Goods and services imports were 6.9% up on a year ago which gave a boost to revenue from import
duties. Nevertheless, GDP at factor cost, that is, not including direct taxes, grew by only 2.9% in the year.
