摘要:Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was 3.5% higher in the first half of 2001 than in the same period of
2000, whereas domestic demand only increased by a tiny 0.5% and was in fact negative in the
second quarter.
Gross fixed capital formation was 6.5% higher in this period, but the rest of domestic demand registered
very sluggish growth and stock growth was negative.
Goods and services exports were 9.0% up on the same six months of last year and there was a
healthy increase in the second quarter of nontraditional agricultural and industrial exports.
