摘要:Chile¡¯s foreign debt totalled US$37,063 million at 30th September 2001 which is US$214 million
more than at end-December 2000. 86% of total debt corresponds to the private sector.
Medium- and long-term foreign loan disbursements in the first nine months of this year amounted to
US$3,624 million of which US$3,363 million (93% of the total) went to the private sector.
Sources of foreign financing in 2001 to date have been largely international financial institutions
which provided 44% of total medium- and long-term loans, followed by 35% from bond issues, 18%
from companies associated with foreign investment and suppliers and 3% from multilateral and
government organizations.
