摘要：The Monthly Indicator of Economic Activity (IMACEC) in September registered growth of 2.4% since
the same month last year, bringing the average increase in the first nine months to 3.3%. The index
at factor cost was also 2.4% higher than a year ago, while the seasonally adjusted index was 1.2%
higher than in August. September this year had one more working day than September 2000. Growth
this month was held back by weak performance of manufacturing and agriculture as well as the
electricity sector which faced a high basis for comparison because water supply was more abundant
last year.
