摘要：During the last decade, disparities of growth rates have been widening between the
¡°Anglo-Scandinavian¡± countries and the Euro area. A hypothesis to explain these
growth differentials is the development of house prices and their effect on
consumption. In the period 1995 to 2005, the development of house prices may be
considered as a major determinant of growth differentials in the European Union.
