摘要:Drawing on fieldwork experiences (participant/direct-observation of medical consultations), this article examines some ethical issues concerning researcher posture when fieldwork is based on observation of places and practices of medical care. Particularly, I review some of the dilemmas raised by the application to care ethnography of medical researchs’ ethical principles (informed consent procedures, no harm, confidentiality, etc.). I analyze : the social meanings and uses of the interpretation of medical ethics rules by authorities that authorize the fieldwork (here the Conseil de l’Ordre des médecins) : the sacralization of patients’ speech and the clinical encountersacred ; the protection of professional autonomy ; epistemological incompatibility ; and the uses of medical secrecy.
